A House Divided: The Causes of the Civil War
The many causes of the Civil War centered around one overwhelming issue: slavery. This unit examines the economic, political, social, and moral implications of slavery and the Civil War, and addresses such topics as the abolitionist movement, the Missouri Compromise, the Dred Scott decition, Souther secssion from the Union, and opposing views on state versus federal rights.
