When a child creates a mess, the Red-Handed Pig will appear conspicuously in the related area (i.e., placed secretly by the parent). The child will receive parent-directed consequences for the pig-identified mess (e.g., clean the mess, wash the dishes, receive an allowance deduction, time-out, etc.).
Parents can have the Pig hold one of the motivating Bible verse cards. Parents will subsequently collect the pig and hide it for future occurrences The pig can also be used to reward the child when they are caught being exceptionally clean! For example, the pig could secretly be placed in the clean area holding a reward such as a dollar bill or a hand-written encouragement card.
