Vladimir, Prince of Novrogod was not expected to rule Russia but after his brother\'s death became king at the age of 18. By the age of 26 he with all his warfare, wealth, wine, and women he was just a pagan idolater, alienated from his creator. One night while visiting his second wife, she tried to kill him but when he tried to kill her their seven year old son intervened. Shaken by the event Vladimir began soul searching about the meaning of life. He brought into court representatives of four world religions to try to ascertain truth.
